Changing paper colors in Word.

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff is having a great sale, 50% off  on May 25 and 26 so stop by and see what she has!  I made this card with the multi colored chevron paper from Lindsay's  Hugs and Kisses Valentine papers, that's right Valentines papers!  The paper in the set is shades of red, pink, yellow and green.  I pulled the image up in Word and went to my tools "change color" (I have added change color to my toolbar because I use it quite often) and I selected both the light blue and the darker blue right below it.  I love changing paper colors in Word, it makes your papers so much more versatile!  Of course I used my Perfect Layers rulers to get that clean 1/16" edge behind the lighter chevron layer.  That really gives it so much more dimension.  Follow my link and use Bove5% for 5% off Perfect Layers Rulers. The Tinkerbell stamps are from JoAnns I colored them with Letraset markers and Spica Atyou sparkle pens.  I used Stickles on the wings.  I printed the lighter chevron on copy paper and used it for the envelope liner.  I am sure Kayla will love this card, after all she loves Tinkerbell.  I used a Spellbinders die to cut the birthday sentiment and I trimmed it with StampinUp Stampin Spots Almost Navy.  Thanks for looking.  ~Diane

Time for another fabulous Pink Saturday.

Beverly is hosting her wonderful Pink Saturday again!  Thank you Beverly, this is so much fun, I have found so many wonderful blogs and met so many wonderful bloggers through your Pink Saturdays.  Please do pop by and say hi to Beverly, you will love her blog How Sweet the Sound.  Today's card is simple, the butterfly die cuts are from My Graphico SVG Shop called Botanical Butterflies.  I cut the butterflies on white cardstock, used a punch on the edge,  placed a piece of pink card stock behind it and embossed it with a Stampin Up embossing plate.  Then I colored the butterflies with pink chalks and mounted them back into their spaces with some dimensionals to give them some pop.
I have had my Sure Cuts A Lot software for over 2 years now but I am still finding new ways to use it.  I just recently figured out that I could aim my die cuts on a page by selecting the paper size.  I was using it for 12x12 or 8.5x11 and cut a ton of whatevers.  Now I found out I can place the butterflies on the page and cut them where I want them.  Pretty cool I think, it is a bit to get the hang of, the items are a bit dyslexic, and that's bad because I am too.  It takes me a few tries to figure out which way, what I have on the screen will cut and which way to load the paper.  But I am definitely happy I am learning this, it is well worth the effort.  Thanks for looking.  ~Diane

Sew Sweet

What a fun SVG to work with, this sweet little sewing machine from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff cut like butter.  So did the pretty doily from La.La. Studio, another MyGraphico designer.  I cut the machine in black and in silver, I love all the details she added to this cut.  The buttons are Stampin Up and the twine is from Pizazz A Plenty.  The stitched card stock is from a Sams Club jumbo pack I split with a friend a few years ago.  The vintage lace is from a tag sale and the fabric flower is from my fabric stash.   Be sure to stop by Lindsay's blog along with her other talented designers to see fabulous work they have done.
Well, we are still working on the back splash, ran into a few challenges but we are hopefully getting over them, Mr Perfect needed to be persuaded that it did indeed look good like this, lol.  Thanks for stopping by to have a look.  ~Diane

Traveler in time

This was so much fun to make!  I used Inka's Altered Artifacts new set Monkey Bizz and Steampunks to make this.  I also used some of her free images to keep it pure.  The fish was cut out of a piece of wrapping paper, I thought it added the right touch.  I don't know if you can see I used Stickles on the birds and on the fish.  I sprayed the background ledger paper with Tattered Angels Wheatfields and used Tim Holtz tea dye on the torn edges, I also let it curl up a bit.  The doilies were sprayed with TH butterscotch, and lettuce green along with the firebrick red dauber.  I also used some Stampin Up Crystal Effects on the clock faces and on the young man's eye glass. Stop by Inka's Altered Artifacts Etsy shop to see more fun images like this.

Bunny Pair

I made this card for the Bella Unique challenge, this challenge want's you to try and make your own bling flourishes. I used the recommended Liquid Pearls along with a  Bazzill jewel template, I traced the dots onto the cs and went over it with Liquid Pearls twice, the first attempt they were too small and did not look like pearls so I made them a bit larger.  The image is from Graphics Fairy, cs is DCWV and Stampin Up.
The beautiful flowers are from Pizzazz Aplenty.  I can not say enough nice things about that store.  Judy is always so generous with her samples and they are separate from  the gift with purchase she offers.  Her products are beautiful and unique, her customer service is second to none and her prices are beyond reasonable.  This is not a paid promotion, I am just so happy to have found her I want to share her store with all of you.  I have 2 pictures to share with you.  One is what I ordered the other is the gift with purchase and free samples she sent along.  My order came to $17.75 plus $3.00 shipping, so I was able to cart all of this away for the small price of $20.75!  I love the $3.00 shipping!  I love all the beautiful bling I found here too!  And on top of all of that I love the way she packages it all up.  I can remove the header from the bags and I have my beautiful bling in a tiny resealable zip lock bag!  You can follow her blog so you will see all the latest specials  and the new products she is always bringing in.

Sweet Valentine

I made this card for the CR84FN Challenge and for my card club card swap.  I loved working with these colors, it really inspired me to make this card.  I used a lot of Stampin Up products here.  The bird punch, The embossing folder and the butterflies are all Stampin Up.  The border and heart are Bird's blog SVG  free cut files I cut on my SCAL .  This is a 4.25 x 5.50 card not my usual 5 x 7 card.  I also used Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick and beautiful clear rhinestones.  I used a tip from my friend Enfys was to color my clear rhinestones with my alcohol ink marker.

Tea Anyone?

I thought I'd give you a new twist this week with this vintage 6 x 6 card. I used Vintage Alice Printable Stamp Sheets, a set I bought from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff, before I was on her design team.  She has a few Vintage Alice sheets to choose from, one of them is in color too.  I also used one of my favorite papers, Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Bold Black and White, printed on Stampin Up More Mustard.  The Chestnut Theme challenge over at Gingersnap Creations is Hot Beverage, the Mad Hatter and his tea is my interpretation.  I used the sketch from Card Patterns.  I don't know if you can see it, I used the Utee thick embossing powder on the Mad Hatter and then gave it an aged crackled look, I printed him with the color change option in Word.  I also used Tim Holtz Weathered Wood, and Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Circles.  Be sure to stop by Lindsay's blog The Frugal Crafter to see what she has made for us this week and to get your Thursday Freebie.  And don't forget my Design Team Sisters, they are all so super talented!

Christmas Lantern

This Christmas lantern was way too much fun to make and really easy too!   In the center is a battery operated tealight which looks really cool at night.  I used 4 fabulous stamps from Scrolls Work Rubber stamps to make this gem.  I used #8047 Noel Blocks, #8037 Christmas Kats#8024 Snow Kisses, and #8022 Christmas Tree.  I stamped them on vellum with Stazon ink and colored them in with markers and used some Stickles.  The holly leaves are made with Cricut Joys of the Season and I used Spellbinders Labels 2 Nestabilities to make the windows.  The shiny green cs is a heavy foil which I embossed with Stampin Up Texture Plates Kit 4 Weave.  Pop over to the Scrolls Work blog to see what the rest of the design team has made.

Lady Flourish Silhouette

I wish you could see this IRL, it has a lot of sparkle and dimension that I could not get the photo to pick up.  The gorgeous image is Scrolls Work image # 2557 Lady Flourish Silhouette #1.  I stamped her with Adirondack snow cap white and heat embossed with opaque silver powder onto Night of Navy cs.  I used the Spellbinders Impressabilities Snowflake to dry emboss the silver foil cs and added rhinestones to the centers of the snowflakes.  I trimmed the image in Stickles silver, blue and black.  The ribbon was a wide one that I trimmed down to this size.  The layout is from a sketch at Waltzingmouse Stamps that I found on Allison's Stampin When I Can blog.  Be sure to stop by the Scrolls Work blog to see what the rest of the Design Team and our Guest Designer have made.

Colorful Black and White

I left the bottom of the page visible so you could see the different colors of card stock I used.
These were all done using the same print on different colors.
I almost forgot, this is what the whole set looks like.
Today I want to show you this Bold Black and White Paper set from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff.  Isn't it beautiful?   This pack of 10  beautiful designs is only 2.99, you can't beat that.  What I like best about this set is that it does not use any colored ink it only uses the black ink and you get to choose what color to print it on.  This makes it super easy to achieve the right shades of color for your projects.  I also used the Sketchy Leaves set along with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Wheatfields, Stampin Up card stock and embossing plate, pearls and the sweet seam binding is some RAK from Lindsay.  Speaking of Lindsay, stop by her blog The Frugal Crafter today to see what crafty goodness she has along with the Thursday freebie she so generously offers.  Don't forget the rest of the Design Team, Lindsay has quite a few new sets I'm sure they will be showcasing beautifully.

Sympathy card

I love this image from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Many Blessings set and this card was so easy to make!  I printed it twice on white and once on that gorgeous shiny gold cs.  I cut one leaf from the white and the cross from the the gold, and left the other white to cut with Spellbinders Labels 8 Nestabilities.  I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Deep Plum and Turquoise Blue.  I sprayed both on my tissue paper then I blotted the card onto the wet tissue.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Dusty Concord and a Sizzix Texture Plate.  The leaf punch is Stampin Up and I crocheted my flower.  Pop over to Lindsay's blog The Frugal Crafter to see what she has made and to pick up one of her free images.  Stop by the LSS MyGraphico store to grab some last minute Halloween images and definitely visit my DT sisters blogs to see all of the awesome ideas they have to share.  Did I tell you those ladies are super talented?  See for yourself.

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Spooktacular Sale

Sorry for the late post, my printer was not cooperating with me.  This was such a quick and easy card to make.   A follower had asked me how I made the moon in the tree line on an older card so I decided to do it again on this card.  I merely printed my image on white cs, held a circular piece in the tree line and then used Stampin Up Night of Navy chalk, making circular motions with my chalk applicator, covering everything except the space beneath the circle.  This awesome scene is from the Creepy Crow Set from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff.  I added the ghost, skull and spider along with the fun lace ribbon from JoAnns.  I used some Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress Ink Weathered Wood around the outside of the print.
Be Sure to stop by Lindsay's Stamp Stuff for the 30% off sale and also stop by her blog The Frugal Crafter for this weeks tips and a Freebie.
See more awesome inspiration thom the LSS design Team.

Trick or Treat

I just had to show the inside and outside of this card, it measures 4" x 9" and has a pocket inside where you can tuck in a Hershey Bar or a Halloween treat certificate.  The adorable Treaters are from Scrolls Work  Halloween collection, along with the Large Corner Web and Trick or Treat sentiment.  I used Stazon ink, Spellbinders Grand 12" Classic Lace Border, Shapeabilities Fancy Tags on the inside and  Labels 8 Nestabilities on the front.  I embossed with Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls embossing folder.  The card stock is DCWV , Stampin Up and vellum.  I used a little Crystal Effects on the spider and lots of dimensional foam all throughout, I love that stuff!  Stop by the Scrolls Work blog and see the awesome work my DT sisters have to share with you too.  Thanks for looking.  ~Diane

Quick and easy gift card tins.

I made these a while back, they were featured in the Ready, Set Create August issue so I can post them now.  I used the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Steampunk Style stamp set along with a couple of her freebies to make these.  They were so easy to make, I just printed them out, traced the top of the gift card tin and cut them out.  I added some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Turquoise Blue, Deep Plum and Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye and I even embossed one with Stampin Up Texture Plates Kit 4 Distressed.  I glued the card stock to the tins with Art Glitter Glue Dries Clear and voila, I was done.

With a cherry on top.

I had a wonderful weekend with a surprise visit from my daughter.  She needed more thank you cards to take back to Kentucky so Mom happily obliged.  This card was so easy, I used this weeks sketch (thank you Scrappy) from KWED along with the Cherry stamp.  (Ask, it's not in the store yet.)  The paper is Graphic 45 - Bees Knees, one of my favorites.  I colored the cherries with Prismacolor pencils, used Spellbinders Labels 8 Nestabilities,  Deckled Mega Rectangles Nestabilities,  Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye and  Antique Linen.  The sentiment stamp is Stampin up Warmest Regards.   I used dimensional foam to lift it all up.  Be sure to stop by Kristen's blog to pick up your free stamp and to see all the awesome cards my DT sisters made.
