Hi All, I made another Christmas card for the challenge to make 1 card a week so I will have them all done early! Feels good to have 10 done and waiting already! For this card I used the image from Gecko Galz Sweet Mommy collage along with the Solarium papers. I have to say, these papers are becoming a real favorite of mine, I love every one in the set and I love printing them as many times as I want too!
I did a close up so you could see the one of beautiful stamps from My Craft Spot Merry Christmas set. My friend and DT sister Lisette (Mrs. Bees) was very generous to share her winnings from City Crafters with me, (thank you Lisette). I chose this beautiful set of 10 stamps with the Christmas theme, I just love the fine line detail in this stamp, doesn't it look beautiful? Other details on this 5 x 7 card, I used True Blue Stickles for the halos, and I used gold embossing powder around the frames before using my Perfect layers Mini rulers (perfect for these small cuts) to put a 1/16th black trim edge. I also went a little crazy with the Liquid pearls, the beading in this image really caught my eye so I wanted to accentuate it a bit. Well that's it, thanks for stopping by and thank you for all of your encouraging comments too. ~Diane

This is so beautiful Diane! What a great idea to start your Christmas cards and work on them throughout the year. This image is gorgeous and I thought the Liquid Pearls were the real thing . . . very realistic! The blue halos are perfect!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love the classic elegance of this Christmas card and envelope design, and how you embellished the Madonna's headdress with the stickles. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, love how you did the headdress. 10 cards give you a great start to your Christmas capital! Hugs, Valerie

Fabulous card. The pearls, stickles and embossing are fabulous touches. So happy you got your stamps, what a great set (in fact I don't know how you managed to choose as there were so many). Not sure whether to say Happy Christmas or Happy Easter - so I'll say both :)!
