Ooh La La Bachelorette Party

Isn't this just the cutest idea for a Bachelor or Bachelorette party?   Lindsay has so many cute party sets now.  These swim suits would make adorable invites and the  corset could be used as a thank you card or a table decoration.  The swim suits would be perfect for a pool party also.  These were so easy to make with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Ooh La La Card and Crown SVG Template and my Cricut, it cut this quickly and it only took a minute to emboss the corset and add the trim and the necklace.  The blue swim suit paper is a freebie from Lindsay's blog The Frugal Crafter, stop by to see what freebie she has for you this week.  You can make this as naughty or nice as you wantThe set also includes a crown.  Wouldn't you love to see your friends faces when they get this invite in the mail?  Be sure to stop by the LSS Design Team blogs to see what awesome inspiration they have for you too.

Pink Swirls and a Sale

I am so in love with these Bold Black and White papers from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff and if you love them too they are on sale today only, 40% off that's only $1.79 for 10 gorgeous papers.  My Graphico is having a storewide sale today so go check it out.  The awesome vintage balloon is a freebie, you will always find a new freebie at The Frugal Crafter every Thursday.  Simple card, so easy to make, I printed the vintage swirl pattern from Bold Black and White and the Balloon image on to pink card stock, trimmed the black cs with the Stampin Up Salebration scallop punch, embossed it with Tim Holtz Alterations texture fades Patchwork, cut the bird and leaves with another Stampin Up punch, added some Stickles to the bird and then the ribbon, roses and a few rhinestones and I was done, easy peasy.  Be sure to stop by the LSS Design Team's blogs to see their amazing work too.  Thanks for looking.  ~Diane

Colorful Black and White

I left the bottom of the page visible so you could see the different colors of card stock I used.
These were all done using the same print on different colors.
I almost forgot, this is what the whole set looks like.
Today I want to show you this Bold Black and White Paper set from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff.  Isn't it beautiful?   This pack of 10  beautiful designs is only 2.99, you can't beat that.  What I like best about this set is that it does not use any colored ink it only uses the black ink and you get to choose what color to print it on.  This makes it super easy to achieve the right shades of color for your projects.  I also used the Sketchy Leaves set along with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Wheatfields, Stampin Up card stock and embossing plate, pearls and the sweet seam binding is some RAK from Lindsay.  Speaking of Lindsay, stop by her blog The Frugal Crafter today to see what crafty goodness she has along with the Thursday freebie she so generously offers.  Don't forget the rest of the Design Team, Lindsay has quite a few new sets I'm sure they will be showcasing beautifully.

Sympathy card

I love this image from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Many Blessings set and this card was so easy to make!  I printed it twice on white and once on that gorgeous shiny gold cs.  I cut one leaf from the white and the cross from the the gold, and left the other white to cut with Spellbinders Labels 8 Nestabilities.  I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Deep Plum and Turquoise Blue.  I sprayed both on my tissue paper then I blotted the card onto the wet tissue.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Dusty Concord and a Sizzix Texture Plate.  The leaf punch is Stampin Up and I crocheted my flower.  Pop over to Lindsay's blog The Frugal Crafter to see what she has made and to pick up one of her free images.  Stop by the LSS MyGraphico store to grab some last minute Halloween images and definitely visit my DT sisters blogs to see all of the awesome ideas they have to share.  Did I tell you those ladies are super talented?  See for yourself.

Playing with new products.

I won these awesome Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L on Heidi Blankenships blog Embellished Dreams.  I could not wait to try out these adhesive sheets, they are awesome!  Thank you Heidi and 3L!  I know the photo does not do it justice but if you look closely you will see that the white card I printed my image on has a layer of teeny tiny clear micro beads.  I attached them with the Permanent 4" x 6" Adhesive sheet.  It was so easy to apply because it has a slender side strip you peel off and lay down first, that holds it in position to peel the rest off.  The stamp is from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff new release Natures Christmas.  I love this vintage Santa Tag, I printed it twice once in green and again in black.  I cut Santa's face out of the black one and paper pieced it over the green Santa.  I colored him in with Copics and I used Perfect Pearls for his hat trim.  I also framed it with some gold Stickles, this is a 5 x 7 card.  Thanks again Heidi, I love following your blog.  Thanks for looking.  ~Diane

I've had a few questions about how well the beads stick.  The Scrapbook Adhesives hold everything in place very tightly, I didn't have any problems with the beads falling off.   I did not have to heat them up either.  This product was perfect for this application.  I have tried using liquid glue in the past but because the glue is a bit thick they would to stick unevenly in double layersWith the 3L product I positioned 1 corner and removed the side strip, then slowly removed the balance.  I rubbed it in to  make sure that it was making good contact with my card stock everywhere.  Then I removed the top layer of paper and poured the beads on and they stuck!  I just pushed them in with my hand to make sure they were secure and pushed off the beads that stuck to the edges, half on and half off.  I have to say I was really impressed.

Quick and easy gift card tins.

I made these a while back, they were featured in the Ready, Set Create August issue so I can post them now.  I used the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Steampunk Style stamp set along with a couple of her freebies to make these.  They were so easy to make, I just printed them out, traced the top of the gift card tin and cut them out.  I added some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Turquoise Blue, Deep Plum and Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye and I even embossed one with Stampin Up Texture Plates Kit 4 Distressed.  I glued the card stock to the tins with Art Glitter Glue Dries Clear and voila, I was done.

Distressing Halloween

Everything in the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shop is 40% off today (Thursday) until midnight!

For Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Thursday I used the new Vintage Halloween Labels set.  There are 7 labels in this set and it's on sale today for $2.70.    Many of these labels work well with Nesties too.  I went all out on the distressing of this card.  I used my favorite Stampin Up Texture Plate Kit 4 Distressed, with my Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye and Scattered Straw.  I also used Tim Holtz distressing tool on the edges.   Spellbinders Classic Circles Nestabilities, gold wire ric rac, Spica Atyou gold ink and a ton of dimensionals to lift everything up.   One of the nicest features of digital images is that you can size them as you like, I like how the flourish works well as a background on this card.   Please check out the talented LSS Design Team for more fantastic ideas using stamps from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff!  Be sure to stop by Lindsay's blog today to pick up your free stamp and don't forget about the sale, 40% off everything in her store 1 day only!

Sew Sweet

This card will be published in the 9/26/10 issue of Scrapbook News and Review.

It's Thursday, time for another card featuring Lindsay's Stamp Stuff  images.  This is one of the first images I fell in love with, way before I joined the design team.  Sew Pretty has sew many fun images to work with.   I'm really happy with how this card came out.  Along with the Sew Pretty digital stamp I used this awesome dp Cosmo Cricket Material Girl and Tim Holtz Alterations texture fades Patchwork set both RAK from my friend Kristen.  The tomato dp is called Sweet Tomato Dots from Lasting Impressions, I bought it with this card in mind.  The teal and yellow cs and the  Eyelet embossing are Stampin Up.  The pins and needles are done in Stickles Silver and pearls they are not real.  I am flattered that so many of you think the "  real pins"   were a good idea, thanks but Lindsay gets credit for drawing them onto the image for me, I just cut, colored and added the stones.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye to distress it and Spellbinders Petite Ovals Nestabilities and Shapeabilities Fancy Tags.  I almost forgot, I used a lot of foam squares to lift it all up, even the buttons.
Be sure to stop by Lindsay's blog today to pick up your free stamp and check out the talented LSS Design Team for more fantastic ideas using stamps from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Happy Birthday Lindsay

Color Throwdown is celebrating 100 Challenges

This week we are celebrating Lindsay's Birthday and she is too with a 34% off sale at Lindsay's Stamp Stuff whoo hoo!.  Happy  Birthday Lindsay and thank you for designing this awesome Steampunk Style set!  I was like a kid in a candy store when I saw this with so many awesome images! You will be seeing a lot more of this set here.  I had so much fun making this card, the hardest part was deciding which image to use, I wanted it to be just right.  I printed the bike images and Birthday sentiment on to the Certainly Celery cs, then used my favorite Stampin Up Texture Plates Kit 4 Distressed.  The circles were cut with Spellbinders Classic Circles Nestabilities, and I used my new Martha Stewart edge punch.  I love the little flower button I sewed onto the bow, it was part of an old jewelery kit my (now 25 yr old) daughter and I had made into necklace's back in the day!  My inspiration came from this weeks beautiful colors from Color Throwdown (100th challenge party, awesome prizes!) and the Just Us Girls sketch.
Be sure to stop by Lindsay's blog today to wish her a Happy Birthday and pick up your free stampYou will also want to see what  the talented LSS Design Team has made using stamps from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff, and remember the 34% off sale too!

Glittered Wings

Did I tell you I have a passion for butterflies?  Lindsay's Stamp Stuff has this beautiful set called Winged Things.   There are so many beautiful butterflies in this set to choose from.   I have been wanting to try this new background technique and I decided this would be perfect with my butterfly taking center stage.   I used some old Mac Tac adhesive backed paper that I salvaged a few years back.  I peeled off the backing to expose the sticky side and stuck my piece of lace to it.  Then I poured on the extra fine glitter and spread it around, I removed the lace and shook off the excess glitter.  I added a piece of clear polyester on top to seal it in.  I printed the butterfly onto the teal vellum, traced it with Diamond Stickles and when it was dry cut it out. You can do this same technique with a piece of packaging tape, (eliminating the need for polyester) but my card is a 5 x 7 so the tape was not an option for me.  I hope you enjoyed this, thanks for looking.  ~Diane
Be sure to stop by Lindsay's blog today to pick up your weekly freebie, and don't forget to check out the talented LSS Design Team for more fantastic ideas using stamps from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff!  We are also welcoming a new designer this week, Tracy whose work is awesome, be sure to say hello and welcome her.
