Hi All, I made this 5 x 7 card for my sweet hubby's birthday today. We have a running joke about the bully squirrel in our yard, he is very territorial, so he will enjoy this. I used Gecko Galz Chocolate Box papers for the background and the image is from the Harvest Time collage sheet.
Speaking of Gecko Galz, Leanne has generously offered a 1 day, buy 1 get 1 free sale today 4/29/14. Better get there quick before I buy it all, lol.
I am entering this into the Top Tip Tuesday challenge to use a number, and my tip is shown in the 3rd picture down. When I am working with a digital image and plan to fussy cut a part of the image to layer it, like I did for the squirrels tail, I use the Microsoft Word Snipping tool to just grab a portion of the picture and then copy it right on to the page. It saves paper and ink because I only grab the section I need and it is the exact same size because I snipped it from my page. Be sure to stop by *Top Tip Tuesday and see all the great tips and inspirations from the DT, the girls there are really nice. That's it, thanks for stopping by. ~Diane

ReplyDeleteSo pleased you shared your lovely squirrel card for our big birthdays challenge at Crafty Boots. I hope you sang the Beatle's song to help your husband celebrate and that he had a great day.
ReplyDeleteSquirrels are prolific where I live and they are interesting creatures, at least they keep us occupied lol. Your card is terrific Diane and I love that you matched the envelope. That's really going the extra mile and both are wonderful! Thanks for leaving the TTT ladies such a sweet comment on the challenge blog. I think you outdid yourself too and I hope your husband had a very happy birthday. Hugs, Lisa
