Hi All, here is my second card for the Christmas card challenges. I started a bit late but I hope to catch up later in the year, if not I will still be ahead of last year! I used a Gecko Galz image from the Darling Girls collage set, along with Gecko Galz paper set called Wild Roses.
The doubled up die cut is from Carina Gardner. Its hard to see but I flocked the little bird and added some Stickles to both the roses in her hair and to the die cut. I like using the softer pink and green for my Christmas cards.
Please come join us, and see all the other great Christmas ideas at both of these link ups. That's it, thanks for stopping by and thank you for your encouraging comments. ~Diane

Gorgeous, vintage looking card, the colours are so pretty, too. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThis is really gorgeous, love the vintage feel - thank you for following my blog..I'm a follower of your too now, looking forward to seeing more of your creations, Carole Z X
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty in Pink. Love the soft muted vintage feel of the image. It doesn't scream Christmas and that is refreshing. Creative Card Bliss...
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card and beautifully set with the frame and gorgeous image in front. Have a great weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteDianne, maybe you can help me with a query. When using a full image sheet, how do you manage to isolate a particular image to work with? I always assumed with an image sheet (unless png) that you had to print it out as a whole.
Would love any guidance - ReadingRoom12@hotmail.com

Hi Diane, love this card. So sweet in pink and the darling graphic. You have so inspired me with your cards. I actually created a baby card for my cousins new baby in Michigan and lined the envelope. Now granted my card looks nothing like yours do. But I wanted to send something hand created and I thought back, what would Diane do??? Thank you for the inspiration. I hope she likes it. I added a money gift, just in case. LOL LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and have fun with the Christmas card crafting.
Hugs
So pretty Diane! Love the ornate frame and beautiful image!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, great choice of background paper and I love the die cuts. As always, the envelope just takes it to another level.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty vintage card and fab use of the die cut. Thanks a lot for joining in with my Festive 48. Hope you can link up again next week. Marina

ReplyDeleteHope you are well,

Beautiful!! I am trying to become more "girly" in my art and your cards are SO inspiring!! I recently made a 6 x 6 card, a size I never make, and as I found myself thinking, "If I had to mail this, what would I do?" and immediately thought of you - yup, I'd just ask you for help :)
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely stunning. Love the vintage image. It just turned out so eye catching.
ReplyDeleteShe looks as if she is stepping out of the frame! Very pretty Christmas card and I love the use of pink and green! Great plaid envy lining! Hugs and hope you are having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like the pink. Looks like it could be used for other times of year too.
