Play Date Cafe
This is my entry for the Play Date Cafe color challenge. It reminds me of what Autumn in Michigan sometimes looks like. I had a tough time photographing this. I am working on a greatly needed new set up for photography. I don't know if you can see it, I used the Crystal Effects to layer the leaves for a more dimensional look. I used Core'dinations on the brown tree and leaves and Cuttlebug folder Snowflakes and Swiss Dots. I cut the tree, pumpkin and leaves from Cricut Stretch Your Imagination. I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the snowflakes. Not sure if you can see it, I used a flourish Clear stamp with Stazon white opaque ink to add just a hint of wind to the picture. I must say this was a lot fun to make and the colors really challenged my imagination. Stop over to the Play Date Cafe and see what the designers made.Below is the color challenge. Thanks for looking. ~Diane

ReplyDeleteDiane...you did a fantastic job of photographing from my perspective, but I totally sympathize. I am working on some alternatives, too!
ReplyDeleteYour colors look beautiful and I love how you used the EF to create a fantastic background!
Thanks ever so much for playing along on our first Play Date Cafe Challenge and for being such a supporter over at The Open Window!
Diane, this card is incredibly beautiful. I love that wind swirl - it is unmistakable. I though it was part of the embossing. I do love those loves, too - they stand out perfectly and you can see the glitter effects. You did a fabulous job on it!
ReplyDeleteDiane, this is lovely.... You put the color challenge right up to the challenge and the photography seems great. But I know what you mean. There are some things that never make it to the blog because no matter how i try, the photos are blah...

That swirl of wind is a fab idea, I just want to go and kick all those leaves and throw them in the air :)
ReplyDeleteLove your card! The falling leaves and the pile-up at the bottom are such a good idea!
ReplyDeleteLove this card, Diane. I think it was very creative of you to use a winter embosser with the fall tree. It looks like the end of fall feels...Remains of the leaves, trees still holding on to the last bits of color with the cold air moving in fast and winter right behind it. Love this card.
ReplyDeleteSmiles!
