Now whose feathers are ruffled?

I made this card using Scrolls Work #4071 Ruffled Feathers.  She is such a beautiful and detailed stamp.  The large cage is from Graphics Fairy, I really had fun with this one.  My wild little bird trying to feed her a fish was a clearance charm from Joanns.   The pearl brad is from Pizzazz Aplenty and I added some Stickles to my torn lace bow.

Tranquility

The people of Japan have been on my mind and in my heart, I hope they can find tranquility someday soon.   Scrolls Work has a wonderful collection of high quality Asian stamps.  I used the  Scrolls Work Stamp #6335 Tranquility along with the Japanese figure from The Sum of all Crafts.  The paper is Websters Vellum Collection 2 and Stampin Up.  I also used Stickles on the butterfly and the trim.

Japan, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I made this card with a heavy heart thinking of the terrible tragedy unfolding in Japan right now.  I hope the citizens know we are all holding them dearly in our hearts and in our prayers.  My heart goes out to all of you.  I made this with the Scrolls Work stamp Large Shika in honor of our friends in Japan.   I stamped her in black memento ink and added some fine gold embossing powder, to highlight the beautiful garment.  I used a digital print from Dover for the stained glass, printed on vellum then mounted on to clear acetate.

Happy Valentines Day

I hope you all are enjoying Valentines Day, I made my family special treats yesterday to celebrate.  I love this image of Deb and Rick from Scrolls Work stamps, it is so romantic.  So is the Irresistible Love sentiment stamp.  Stop by the Scrolls Work store and check out the New Full sheet stamp sets available at a 25% off discount.
I used a technique from Technique Junkies called layer up, it does not show that well in the photograph, but I raised up some pieces to give it more dimension. The background dp is Bold Black and White from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff, the die cut is from Penny Duncan, cut on my Cricut with the SCAL software and decorated with pale pink flat back pearls.  I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist on the heart doily.

Queen Ellaire

I made this card with Scrolls Work #4077 Queen Ellaire for the Gothic Arches challenge calling for the use of a Queen.  The card measures 4.5 x 6.25, the Gothic Arch was a free image from Just Something I Made, it is called JSIM Crest Monogram Frames 8.  I love the stained glass look it has.   It is hard to see in the photo's but there are 3 tiny 2mm cranberry rhinestones in her crown and on her dress.  I also put a few 2 &3mm jewels in her treasure box.  The rhinestones were some of the free items Judy of Pizzazz Aplenty sent with my order.  I must admit, I never would have bought stones that tiny, but now that I've used them like this I know I will want more!  The glittered flourish was cut on my Cricut with the SCAL software from Penny Duncan's SVG Cut file collection.  The treasure box is a jewelery finding from Blue Moon Madame Delphine's collection jewelery pieces.  And I almost forgot, I used gold Stickles for the crown and scepter.

Bunta in Blue

New stamp, new paper, new technique, whoo hoo!  I love this Asian stamp called Bunta by Scrolls Work, she inked up so well.  Don't forget the Scrolls Work 35% off sale ends tomorrow the 9th.  I used black embossing powder to give her more depth.  I used a paper piecing technique from Technique Junkies layering her up.  The beautiful paper is Websters Pages Vellum Designs 2 Digi Collection.  I printed the paper twice, once 7 x 7  on to a 5 x 7 formatted sheet size the other 8 x 8.  I stamped her on the 8 x 8 sheet and cut her out and pieced her on to the other page, that way the wheel spokes would look like the bg paper (my card size is 5 x 7).  I stamped her again to get her beautiful Kimono, cut and pasted that and took the hands from the one underneath and pasted them on top.  I took the words live your dreams from the 8 x 8 with a Spellbinders Labels 10.   I used Tim Holtz Weathered Wood distress ink which is a bluish black color.  I made the flowers with my Cricut.  That's it for today, I hope you liked it.  Thanks for looking.  ~Diane

Christmas Lantern

This Christmas lantern was way too much fun to make and really easy too!   In the center is a battery operated tealight which looks really cool at night.  I used 4 fabulous stamps from Scrolls Work Rubber stamps to make this gem.  I used #8047 Noel Blocks, #8037 Christmas Kats#8024 Snow Kisses, and #8022 Christmas Tree.  I stamped them on vellum with Stazon ink and colored them in with markers and used some Stickles.  The holly leaves are made with Cricut Joys of the Season and I used Spellbinders Labels 2 Nestabilities to make the windows.  The shiny green cs is a heavy foil which I embossed with Stampin Up Texture Plates Kit 4 Weave.  Pop over to the Scrolls Work blog to see what the rest of the design team has made.

Awesome News to share!

I am so excited and honored to be chosen for the Scrolls Work Design Team!  Scrolls Work is a new business with tried and true, quality unmounted rubber stamps.  These are beautifully detailed stamps that I am sure you will love as much as I do!  In addition to the unique rubber stamps Scrolls Work will now carry all 24 Memento inks and re inkers!  I made this 5 x 7 card with Scrolls Work Rubber Stamp  #7509 Monique, I think she is so beautiful!  The bg paper is Websters from a digital file I purchased.  I printed it out twice and paper pieced the flowers with some foam dimensionals.
I used Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress Ink Weathered Wood, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Wheatfields and Bazzill black card stock.  I covered Monique with Diamond Glaze and accented with a silver gel pen, then added the doily and a pearl strand.
I would love to introduce you to the rest of the design team, these are extremely talented ladies who will definitely wow you with their work.
